Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.

Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone in the area of the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any damage is uncertain and the United States has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - reported they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

Iran's Declared Retaliation

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted sites linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and destroyed a several projectiles," it added.

It said debris landed in a populated district in the capital, causing some material damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
