'Our Mission Consists of Only Executing' - The Way The Sudanese Brutal Fighting Force Conducted a Mass Killing

Caution: This Story Presents Explicit Details of Shootings.

Militiamen laugh as they travel on the bed of a utility vehicle, speeding alongside a series of nine lifeless forms and moving in the direction of the descending African evening sky.

"Observe this extensive work. Observe this mass destruction," one shouts.

The fighter smiles as he points the video equipment on himself and his companion combatants, their Rapid Support Forces identification visible: "They shall all perish like this."

The combatants are celebrating a mass killing that relief organizations fear killed over two thousand people in the African city of al-Fashir during October.

An Urban Center Isolated from the World

Having held the city under siege for approximately an extended period, from August the militia moved to reinforce its dominance and prevent access for the remaining residents.

Space-based imagery reveal that forces started to build a massive earth barrier - a elevated sand barrier - around the boundaries of el-Fasher, sealing off access routes and blocking relief supplies.

While the blockade escalated, seventy-eight civilians were murdered in an paramilitary strike on a place of worship on September 19th, while the UN reported 53 additional were murdered in drone and heavy weapon attacks on a displacement camp in the autumn.

Disturbing Recording Depicts Defenseless Individuals Shot

In the early morning on 26 October the militia defeated the last military defenses and captured the primary headquarters in the urban area, the command center of the Military Unit, as the military pulled back.

Perhaps the most disturbing recordings to emerge and analysed showed the consequences of a massacre at a educational facility on the western of the city, where scores dead bodies were visible scattered over the area.

A senior person dressed in a white tunic remained alone amongst the victims. He turned to glance as a combatant armed with a rifle moved descending the staircase in the direction of him. Raising his firearm, the fighter fired a one shot at the victim, who collapsed to the ground lifeless.

"For what reason is this person yet breathing," one fighter shouted. "Execute him."

Satellite images captured on October 26th indicated to verify that shootings were also performed on the roads of the city, according to a analysis released by the university analysis team.

A key eyewitness who provided testimony reported he had witnessed "many of our kin being massacred - these individuals were gathered in one place and all killed."

Paramilitary Commanders Try to Implement Damage Control

During the period that came after the killings, RSF leader acknowledged that his forces had carried out "atrocities" and announced the events would be looked into.

Among those detained was following a report recording his executions. Carefully staged and modified recording published on the RSF's authorized social media account reveal the commander being escorted into a cell at a prison on the perimeter of el-Fasher.

Simultaneously, the paramilitary force and affiliated digital profiles began seeking to reframe the narrative.

Content showing its militiamen distributing assistance to civilians were circulated by some individuals, while the paramilitary's communications team published multiple clips claiming to show the humane management of government prisoners of war.

Regardless of the social media campaign being used by the militia, their conduct in el-Fasher have generated worldwide anger.
